Glitter Explosion!!!!

My very First Blog Hop!!!!!!  Thanks Yolie for letting me be part of it. :)
I have to say after this one I'm all shiny and sparkly!!!  Glitter and more glitter everywhere.
I worked on two projects: a center piece and a card.

For my center piece, I added glitter every place and every way that you can imagine.  I used a galvanized vase from Michaels and covered it with floral paper.  I used my thin glue pen to highlight some parts of the flowers on the paper with glue and added Martha Stewart glitter.  I also added glitter to the three flowers in the arrangement.

The pinwheels were cut with my Cricut using a svgcuts.com freebie and I followed the awesome tutorial video that they have on their site.

Because I did not have enough glitter, (Can you ever have enough glitter???). I added some to the floral picks.

Here are some pictures showing various details and my finished product.

For my second project I created a card using this cute Spanish Tilda from Magnolia Stamps.  I absolutely love this stamp because as many of you know I'm a proud Spaniard :)

I colored her with copics and of course, I added some MS glitter to her dress, flower and fan. I used papers from my stash.  Cut the window frame and the tilda frame with my Cricut.  I used Stickles around the square windows and I glimmer misted the flower. (flower is from Michaels)

I do have some candy up for grabs, three packs of GLITTER stickers from Recollections, one alphabet sticker set (also shiny) and a "Crafted by me" stamp.  In order to win you have to follow my blog and leave a comment on this post.

Time for Teacher's gifts

This year, instead of going to the store and having to walk, walk and walk looking for a teacher's gift I decided to make them.  I made tile coaster sets for all of them.

The tiles come from Lowe's and the stamp is from Michaels.  They were easy to make and they look amazing.  I double coated them with matte sealant to make waterproof and used some adhesive felt on the back trim to size.

Here they are!!

I'm back!!

After a few crazy weeks, getting ready for two First Communions, my little one's and my friend's son, I'm BACK!!.  We all worked hard at home for this big event.  Since I'm from Spain, I wanted all of the refreshments to reflect our Spanish origins.  Here are some pictures:

Manchego Cheese with Artisan bread, fruit tray and "Patatas AliƱadas" (Mediterranean Potato Salad).

Two pictures of our famous Sangria....... it makes me thirsty to look at these pictures!! :)

Paella on the grill!

Alex's First Communion cake: I ventured in cake territory once again, thanks to my friend Pilar.  The cake was a wedding cake with nuts covered with homemade marshmallow fondant.  All the decorations were fondant and made using my cricut cake. The leaves, bread, chalice and grape are made from gum paste. Alex loved it!!!

Now time for the favors:

Favor Cake!! I used SVGcuts.com files to cut these boxes and flowers. I used the
Betty's Bags and Boxes II and flowers from Crush on you Boxes.   Each boxes contained a bunch of Hershey Kisses and a Rosary.

For the kids, I made white chocolate cover pretzels. I got the idea from Joy at Joyslife.com
